The market for a property priced at $7 million USD (49,950,000 DKK) in The Kingdom of Denmark, is naturally limited in the smallest of the Scandinavian countries with around 5.5 million inhabitants. Real estate agents typically follow the same conventional strategies without exploring creative ways to reach potential buyers. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands.

As a serial entrepreneur, I am now launching Denmark’s most expensive Advent calendar (See it yourself here), inviting everyone inside the towering, two-meter-high gates. What secrets lie within this magnificent villa located just 30 minutes north of Copenhagen at Fredsvej 5, 2840 Holte?

Throughout December, I will unveil these secrets day by day, as I open a new door in the calendar.

What is this property?

The estate, named Fredsgård (“Peace Manor”), was completed in 1917. It comprises a main house of 2260 sq ft, an annex of 430 sq ft, and a newer building of 2368 sq ft spread over three floors. Together, they form the iconic three-winged country estate.

Set on 40,000 sq ft of landscaped grounds, the property includes everything from a tennis court and basketball court to carefully maintained green spaces designed for functionality and elegance.

Originally built as a summer residence for Knight of the Order of Dannebrog, Count H. Knuth, Fredsgård has undergone one of the most extensive renovations in recent memory under my ownership. Every stone has been turned to create a unique and inviting home for those seeking tranquility and charm without compromising on modern comforts.

“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

Fredsgård at Fredsvej 5, Holte, was initially constructed by Knight of the Order of Dannebrog, Count H. Knuth (1870-1943), whose lineage traces back to Eggert Christopher von Knuth (1643-1697). The estate has had several owners over the years. As its most recent owner, I embarked on a total renovation with the intention of staying for many years. However, life evolves, and my children now attend schools far away – it’s time for new adventures.

This renovation was not undertaken with a sale in mind. Over three years, I have invested significant creativity, time, and resources into turning Fredsgård into a modern home filled with old-world charm. Its soul, its atmosphere, and the feeling of comfort and serenity are evident in every corner.

The renovation has been carried out with meticulous attention to detail, balancing practicality, aesthetics, and whimsical touches that inevitably bring smiles to visitors’ faces.

Fredsgård combines everything that both the heart and the eye could desire. It is an estate that must be experienced to truly grasp its unique charm and its potential to foster countless joyful moments.

$14,000 Finder’s Reward

I believe in the power of personal networks. That’s why I’m offering a finder’s reward of $14,000 to anyone who refers a buyer that leads to the sale of my property by December 31, 2024.

If multiple people refer the same buyer, the reward will be shared among them. It’s up to the buyer to disclose who referred them.

Do You Know a Buyer?

I welcome inquiries and viewings, which can be arranged by emailing w@wernervaleur.com or texting +45 31310004.
